I wanna publish 'zines, and rage against machines

Lot's of cool stuff today, y'all. And I am not shitting you, it is SIXTY-SEVEN SIXTY-NINE (CAN I GET 70?!!) DEGREES OUT here in East Lansing. YUSSSSS!!!

But I'd like to take care of a little business first.

It's the Modish Scarfu Giveaway!!!

Head on over and leave a comment for a chance to win. You can also blog/tweet about it for an additional entry!

Now that that's taken care of. This had me L'ingOL pretty good:

You hear that, hipsters? Go take a shower!!!

via The Debonaire.

Next up, is this really wallpaper?

If so, WHERE CAN I GET SOME?! via whorange.

I usually dig the images and stuff posted over on Oh Joy! Today's post really caught my eye. I love color, especially in unexpected, trivial-seeming places.

This is reminding me of how excited I was to be in Crate & Barrel when I visited NYC...

I have a "thing" for bowls. Especially square-ish ones. And ones with pretty patterns!

Anyway, the shop those cute spoons 'n' spatulas were from, Huset, has a TON of other great stuff, too:

Check out this herb stand...

and this storage jar...

and these lidded cups and serving tray...

I also LOVE these coasters...

It's all pretty reasonably priced, too. Go check out the Huset store!

Ok, this might be one of the coolest ideas for a website/set of photographs I've seen in a while.

What's up, Santa?

Go check out the rest! via Ok Great.

Well, that's all for today, guys. Enjoy the weather, wherever you are!!!

Some boys romance, some boys slow dance

Hi all!

I've got a few cool things to show y'all today.

Isn't this just a smart room? Look at that. Mmmhmm!

via decor 8.

...HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THIS THING. A thing of beauty...

One day, when I have my own place, I will own something similar to this. I swear to it. via apartment therapy.

I bet I could throw a KILLER party at this place...

Is that not a perfect party-deck? also via apartment therapy.

Next up, check out these crazy ribbon stairs. Terrifying, no?

I'd be trippin' all over the place. via here.

Next up, this video kind of blew my mind. It just keeps getting cooler.

That's all for today, folks! Have a good one!

Your beauty should stop traffic

Hello all!

I am exhausted and this sinus infection that won't die might be rearing its head again. *sigh*

Ok, so here's some stuff from The Selby, because it just never gets old and there's so much goodness I don't know what to do with myself.

Don't you just want to know this lady? She looks so ... brave?

Beautiful.

Mmk. Next up:

This bird video via all the mountains is just too cool.

Then, speaking of birds, check out these AWESOME bird houses from neat nests.

Finally, I WANT.

That's all for day! Hope your Monday goes well...

MHM AND HUH ARE THE NEW OHH AND YEAH.

If you haven't been over to Got Wisdom, you should check it out RIGHT NOW.

First up, check out Pavlov Visuals and their SICK collection of t-shirt designs. Here are some of my faves:

I have no idea who Meg & Dia are, but I like this shirt!

Dude, seriously, get on over to their website and check out the designs. There are too many awesome ones to count!

I also find it hilarious that their tagline is "design it real good." Now that's what I'm talkin' about. via design work life.

Next, check it out y'all! It's the PASTA FORK! Say whaaaaat?

It looks very terrifying, yet effective, no?

via design for mankind.

Also, you should check out this awesome post on some fabulously decorated off-beat houses over on Design Crisis. I am wild 'n' crazy over this room in particular:

WHaaaAAtt? I think that room is the equivalent to how I feel when I listen to or look at John Mayer. A little too happy, if you catch my drift.

Next up, I stumbled upon this collection of celebrity photography from Art Streiber, an LA-based freelance entertainment photographer. Some of these portraits are siiicck!

mmmm... yes, Ryan Reynolds.

Jason Statham.

Jodie Foster

There's so much more! Go look!!!

I'd better get going. Have a good one!

Don't give me none of that

Would you eat this?

I don't think I would.

It's still pretty cool, though! Via design verb.

It's possible I've posted this video here before, but I came across it again and it's pretty freakin' sweet.

MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU from blu on Vimeo.

Imagine how much time that took. Whaaaaat?

Ok, I think this is a job well done. Very clever, and actually feasible. A masters student rebranded Playboy for an assignment. Check it out:

I think that could totally work, don't you? Then we could call Playboy "Bunnies" Playboy "Foxes" and it would make sense and everything! Personally, I think "The Girls Next Door" hasn't done much to help the brand, and it's definitely not seen as the "classy" alternative in the porno realm anymore. Maybe Hef should hire this guy and revamp the brand, eh?

That's all for today! <3

I won't waste your time with my revelation

Wow, have I been a lazy bum in the blogosphere. Last week was a busy one, and quite complicated if I do say so myself. But for once, not because of my own doing.

So there's lots of cool stuff to show you today!

First I'd like to show you some work by Seth Rieder.

This one is my favorite:

I failed to see the connection with his other pieces, but I like them, especially the Texatonka series.

Next up, this video by Brooklyn-based photographer Rob Carter. This guy's got some crazy-good work, for real.

Metropolis by Rob Carter - Last 3 minutes from Rob Carter on Vimeo.

DEFINITELY follow the link to his portfolio and check out his photography. Amazing! via okay great.

Next up, this is TONS O FUN - a quiz to test how well you're familiar with popular brands! from the folks over at Vyre and via Brand New.

That's all for today, y'all!

I'm Irish every day - how about you?

Oh, St. Patrick's day... a big occasion here at Michigan State. There's a LOT of green on campus today, and I'm sure the streets will be flowing with green vomit by night's end.

And since we could all use a reminder about what St. Patrick's day is really about (crackheads and ancient leprechaun flutes made from PVC pipe)...

First up, this hand-drawn type from friends of type has me cracking up and nodding my head in so much agreement:

Honest to goodness, if this were a t-shirt I'd be buying it up and wearing it in a heartbeat. Too funny.

I've been saving this for a while, but I guess I'll finally post it. I really dig Jamie Tao's art. Who knew a pen and some graphic paper could get you so far? Oh, and talent.

I just happened across the Etsy shop Seven Ply, where they offer designs from recycled skateboards! What an interesting idea. Look at all the interesting stuff.

Earrings!

Mustache necklace!

Dino-necklace!

And what great product photos, eh? If I happen across some extra cash, I'll be looking into making a purchase.

Well, that's all for now! Have a super-drunken St. Patrick's day, all!
