Somebody said something that one time...

An odd smattering today, folks. Some this-and-that.

(for the future dentist. that photo is both disturbing and lovely)

What our hearts are made of: a series of tubes - like the internet!

(both via sharesomecandy)

Next is this space I think is brilliant. Love the furniture, love what that plant is doing for the space, love the dog. (via automatism)

Also, love this from Apartment Therapy DC:

Next, from Apartment Therapy: Unplgged, Facebook's new digs! Clicky goodness behind the link!

Looks like the new money they've been accruing is somewhat well-spent. But still, outrageous!

That's it for today!

Talk about genius

I discovered a BBC tv show today titled "Design for Life." It's the same setup as Project Runway or Design Star, only it's headed by world-renown, insanely proflific (and often criticized) designer Phillipe Starck. I definitely recommend heading over to his webpage and checking out all of his designs.

Below is the first episode of "Design for Life." Episodes are about an hour long, but just hearing Starck's philosophies, witnessing the egos, and watching those poor design students run around like chickens with their heads cut off entertains me to no end. I think it's brilliant, and it had me researching design schools in the UK. Maybe a future in product design has begun to read its head, who knows?

Next is a music video from Swedish indie pop band, The Sound of Arrows. This video is bizarre as all heck, but it's beautiful to look at.

Well, those should entertain you for at least 3 hours.

Have a good one!

A common mistake in life's race is to sprint

Hello all [one of you],

Just a random smattering today, since time is limited.

First, via design is mine, is one of ten images of inspiration from days of old.

That one caught my eye particularly, but there's a great collection if you follow the link.

Next is this incredibly intense photo I found on nostalgie de la boue. I could stare at it for hours and invent a thousand stories in my head about what could precede and succeed this moment.

Next is some insanely rockin' interior design via desire to inspire. All I can say is I would have no complaints if my place looked like this.

Check out the rest of the space and more by following the link.

I'm off to class to watch "Bringing Up Baby." Oh yeah, I like me some Cary Grant.

Mondaze

Monday: You can imagine how I feel about this entire situation.

Anyway, I have returned after the weekend, ready to post some more stuff for ya'll. I'm also brainstorming some new concepts for posts, so get ready.

First post today is some DIY/Interior Design inspiration. I smiled when I saw this:

I don't know how many people have that many pieces of furniture lying around (my mom would, but our tiny home is like a flea market...) but if someone did, I would recommend doing this. It would be crazy functional - shelving, drawers, and it would free up a lot of space. Rad as hell.

I am totally crazy about this illustration by Erika Somogyi:

Awwww...

That's it for now. Maybe more tonight, who knows?
