Holy moly, I'm back!

Not that anyone was awaiting my return or anything...

So the reason for my sudden return (and welcome motivation to blog more often) is that Erin from Design for Mankind (one of my favorite blogs, possibly primarily for the surplus of triangular shapes and great color combinations) is doing an iPad2 giveaway. Can you believe it?! Visit this link to read more and enter the giveaway!

So go there and enter to win an expensive gadget. You know you want to!

Also in living memory of Erin, here are some chairs I'm sure she would enjoy (and it's entirely possible I got these off her blog!)

Until next time, dear readers, read and heed:

I wanna publish 'zines, and rage against machines

Lot's of cool stuff today, y'all. And I am not shitting you, it is SIXTY-SEVEN SIXTY-NINE (CAN I GET 70?!!) DEGREES OUT here in East Lansing. YUSSSSS!!!

But I'd like to take care of a little business first.

It's the Modish Scarfu Giveaway!!!

Head on over and leave a comment for a chance to win. You can also blog/tweet about it for an additional entry!

Now that that's taken care of. This had me L'ingOL pretty good:

You hear that, hipsters? Go take a shower!!!

via The Debonaire.

Next up, is this really wallpaper?

If so, WHERE CAN I GET SOME?! via whorange.

I usually dig the images and stuff posted over on Oh Joy! Today's post really caught my eye. I love color, especially in unexpected, trivial-seeming places.

This is reminding me of how excited I was to be in Crate & Barrel when I visited NYC...

I have a "thing" for bowls. Especially square-ish ones. And ones with pretty patterns!

Anyway, the shop those cute spoons 'n' spatulas were from, Huset, has a TON of other great stuff, too:

Check out this herb stand...

and this storage jar...

and these lidded cups and serving tray...

I also LOVE these coasters...

It's all pretty reasonably priced, too. Go check out the Huset store!

Ok, this might be one of the coolest ideas for a website/set of photographs I've seen in a while.

Vans and the Places Where They Were

What's up, Santa?

Go check out the rest! via Ok Great.

Well, that's all for today, guys. Enjoy the weather, wherever you are!!!

I'm in a New York state of mind

Ok guys, I am getting SUPER-DUPER excited to be visiting New York City. Like, whoa. There is no possible way I will be able to achieve everything I want to do/have researched, but I will just have to live with that, I guess. More on that later. First, it's business time.

OMG IT'S AN ANTHROPOLOGIE NECKLACE GIVEAWAY COURTESY MY OWL BARN!!!

Check out this adorable necklace. You could be a winner if you visit My Owl Barn and blog/tweet the giveaway!

Love it!

Ok guys, there has really been too much awesomeness going on on the intarwebz this past weekend, because I am bursting with stuff to show you on here (hopefully that you haven't already seen... sometimes I wonder.)

I saw this via Twitter this morning, then again on the Swiss Miss RSS feed.

Gummi Bear Chandalier!

They'd have to coat the little buggers in poison to keep me from eating the thing. Makes me want to go pick up a bag of Haribo right nao!

Interesting clip from the wikipedia page:

"In the United States, Haribo gummi bears come in 5 flavours: raspberry (red); orange (orange); strawberry (green); pineapple (colourless); and lemon (yellow)[7]. Many offshoot companies (typically the vegan or health-related gummi bears) use more exotic flavours and colours. Trolli "gummy" bears are similarly most often sold in five flavours in the United States, however Trolli's red gummy is cherry-flavoured as opposed to raspberry."

Yeah, except the Trolli ones taste like ASS.

Also, just saw this:

I'm impressed.

Next, whilst in my NY state of mind, I've come across some cool Flickr groups and some GREAT photos. Here are a handful I like for various reasons.

Can't wait to potentially see the Guggenheim!

via anadelmann

I wouldn't mind visiting this lovely bridge in Central Park, but it will be icky-March weather and won't look nearly as pretty, I'll bet.

via wallyg

I definitely wouldn't mind paying a visit to Chinatown. I hear there are good eats and cheap shopping.

via themikelee

I hear this place is THE BOMB... it's kind of out of the way, though. A little too far southeast for where we will likely be wandering around.

via paul lowry

I'm also definitely going to keep an eye out for Spiderman. You never know where he's going to pop up.

via ndinneen

Whew. Flickr can be really draining!

Lastly, just because it's awesome:

There was always something a little "off" about Velma. Now I know what it was. Btw she is totally reminding me of a cross between Daria and Lara Croft.

Later, guys!

Hello all,

There was some crazy good stuff storing up in my reader over the weekend, so get ready for some awesome posts this week!

First up is the Piano Stairs video, which I realize everyone has probably seen by now as it is taking over the blogosphere, but I figured I'd post it on here real quick before it becomes totally old news.

Next I'd like to inform you of this awesome giveaway!

Scoot on over to love.obsess.inspire to see how to enter!

Next, I'd like to feature the art of Sakke Soini on the Behance network. I love this style of art, and this guy does it really well. Love the electronicats!

Today skies are painted colors of...

Grey? A cowboy's cliché? The rainbow?

How about a multicolored nebula with an elk exploding from the center?

Today I'd like to spotlight artist Drew Turner, one of many artists featured on "Just Us," an artist collective featuring work from talented college students all around the U.K. Be sure to check out other artists, especially Owen Gatley and Jack Hudson. Browse around, there's some great work.

Secondly, for my one reader in Boston, I came across an entry featuring the Black Ink Shop via freshly{blended}. They seem to have an eclectic combination of products, from giant boxes of Pocky to porcelain keys, to basically any other unexpected novelty item the heart desires. You can check out their online shop (and the rest of their cool website) here. I don't know if it's located conveniently, but it may be worth it to have a little adventure.

Thirdly, I won one a print via Pikaland! There are some great giveaways and it's a pretty sweet blog in general.

I don't know which one I won, but Victoria Usova's work is super cool and I'm stoked to own anything! Can't wait to get it in the mail. Check out her shop here.

Have a good weekend, all!

OH-EM-GEE, another giveaway!

Wow! Looks like my blog is just becoming a way to enter to win free stuff. No, there will be some substance soon, I've just been busy. I've got a good amount of material stacking up to show ya'll.

Anyway, this giveaway is THE BOMB. Check out these awesome 3-way bags from Spirited Style!

They come in 11 different patterns. If you're interested in entering, scoot on over to Simple Blueprint and see how to enter!

All this Twitter business is making me wish I had one. Still holding off!

Another Fantastic Giveaway!

Here's another chance to win something from Love.Obsess.Inspire...

This bracelet from Dirty Story is INSANELY GORGEOUS!

Be sure to follow the link in the banner and enter yourself to win! Holy cow I'm excited! It would make ANY outfit amazing! Be sure to check out the link to the shop above and see the rest of Michelle's work. I especially like this one.

Fantastic giveaway!

I LOVE online giveaways. They're tons 'o' fun because not only do you have a chance to win something, but the products typically lead you to tons of other fantastic things you've never seen before! I never seem to win much ever, but my mom has a strange ability to kick ass at cake walks... so it's in my genes somewhere. (By some miracle, I actually DID win something recently...TBA.)

I do have an ulterior motive for posting this - because it enters me in the giveaway. But you should definitely check it out, too!

It's the...

Click the banner above to enter for a chance to win a cool set of prints from Louche Lab!

I just love the look of these cards... the colors, the sketchiness of the illustration, and the fact that it's all over something previously printed!

Good luck!
