Today skies are painted colors of...

Grey? A cowboy's cliché? The rainbow?

How about a multicolored nebula with an elk exploding from the center?

Today I'd like to spotlight artist Drew Turner, one of many artists featured on "Just Us," an artist collective featuring work from talented college students all around the U.K. Be sure to check out other artists, especially Owen Gatley and Jack Hudson. Browse around, there's some great work.

Secondly, for my one reader in Boston, I came across an entry featuring the Black Ink Shop via freshly{blended}. They seem to have an eclectic combination of products, from giant boxes of Pocky to porcelain keys, to basically any other unexpected novelty item the heart desires. You can check out their online shop (and the rest of their cool website) here. I don't know if it's located conveniently, but it may be worth it to have a little adventure.

Thirdly, I won one a print via Pikaland! There are some great giveaways and it's a pretty sweet blog in general.

I don't know which one I won, but Victoria Usova's work is super cool and I'm stoked to own anything! Can't wait to get it in the mail. Check out her shop here.

Have a good weekend, all!

  1. I'll have to stop by Black Ink on a weekend (when I'm not in the basement of the Campus Police building looking at dead bodies - ha ha). Make a wish list and you may just have a special souvenir/birthday/Christmas/Festivus gift from Boston next time I see you.

And congratulations on winning the print! I can't decide which I like more--they are both surreal in their own way. Do you have a preference?

Also, elk poster reminds me of something that should have been in a hunting cabin in Wyoming in 1977. Sexy.

  2. If that were true, I'd go hunting any day of the week.
